PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation image capturing apparatus designed so as to output only data for necessary pixels from a radiation detector.SOLUTION: A radiation image capturing apparatus 10 includes a radiation detector 18, a light detecting unit 19, and a control unit. The radiation detector 18 has a plurality of pixels and reads out and outputs data obtained for each pixel in accordance with incidence of radiation transmitted through a subject. The light detecting unit 19 detects a range A of light 14 emitted in accordance with a range over which radiation is emitted to the radiation detector 18.
