To provide a microwave irradiation device which can be used for a multipurpose and a microwave irradiation method using the device.SOLUTION: A microwave irradiation device comprises: a heating pot; and a distillation part. The heating pot comprises: an irradiation window to which a wave guide pipe is connected; a heating container; a connection shaft arranged at a bottom of the heating container; a driving device that makes the connection shaft to rotate; and a lid of the heating container. The connection shaft can detachable switch a plurality of different attachments to mount. The distillation part comprises: a capacitor connected by the heating pot and the pipe; a separation liquid container connected by the capacitor and a pipe (16); a cooler that cools the pipe; a distillation water collection container connected by the separation liquid container and a pipe (17); and a decompression device connected by the distillation water collection container and a pipe (18).
