The measurement gauge (1) has two or more locking measuring markers (2,3) and a wt. on its lower end. The gauge is set with one marker at its current height. The growth differences are subsequently determined at time intervals from the distance between the initially set marker and the other marker which is set to the current height. One or more gauge chords with measurement markers can be fixed to a foot plate (4). The foot plate can have a scale for measuring the distances of the locking measurement markers. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for reliably measuring rate of growth of cotton plants to enable effective use of growth regulation measures.
