A surgical apparatus includes a debriding device, ahollow tube, and an irrigation assembly. The debridingdevice is fitted at a distal end of the surgicalapparatus and is configured to debride tissue from adebriding site in a patient body. The hollow tube isconfigured to evacuate the debrided tissue away from thedebriding site. The irrigation assembly is configured toapply irrigation fluid, via one or more orifices formedin the hollow tube, to the debrided tissue beingevacuated.
