PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system keeping visibility for a structure to be observed such as a superficial blood vessel, in narrow band imaging using a complementary color system imaging device.SOLUTION: The endoscope system includes: a mode changeover switch 14 for changing over to a narrow band imaging mode using purple narrow band light and green narrow band light with which the inside of an analyte is irradiated in a time-division manner a complementary color system imaging device 29 which includes a pixel for purple narrow band light and pixel for green narrow band light responding to both of the purple narrow band light and green narrow band light and outputs a first image signal by imaging the analyte being illuminated with the purple narrow band light and outputs a second image signal by imaging the analyte being illuminated with the green narrow band light and a monitor 5 for displaying a special image obtained by projecting an image of the analyte illuminated with the purple narrow band light or green narrow band light, on the basis of the first and second image signals.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】補色系撮像素子を用いる狭帯域光観察において、表層血管など注目する構造の視認性を維持する内視鏡システムを提供する。【解決手段】モード切替スイッチ14により、紫色狭帯域光と緑色狭帯域光を用いる狭帯域光観察モードに切り替える。紫色狭帯域光と緑色狭帯域光とは、検体内に時分割して照射される。補色系撮像素子29は、紫色狭帯域光と緑色狭帯域光の両方に感応するそれぞれの画素を有する。補色系撮像素子29は、紫色狭帯域光で照明中の検体を撮像して第1画像信号を出力するとともに、緑色狭帯域光で照明中の検体を撮像して第2画像信号を出力する。これら第1及び第2画像信号に基づいて、紫色狭帯域光又は緑色狭帯域光によって照明された検体の像が写し出された特殊画像がモニタ5に表示される。【選択図】図2
