PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool of a spinning reel that can effectively reduce an increase in temperature of a drag mechanism.SOLUTION: A spool 4 of a spinning reel 1 is fitted to a spool shaft 15. The spool 4 comprises a spool body 42, a drag mechanism 43, and a heat sink 44. The spool body 42 is constituted so as to be rotatable with respect to the spool shaft 15. The drag mechanism 43 is arranged between the spool body 42 and the spool shaft 15. The drag mechanism 43 brakes the rotation of the spool body 42. The heat sink 44 contacts the drag mechanism 43 inside the spool body 42. The heat sink 44 is constituted so as to be rotatable with respect to the spool body 42.
