The present invention relates to an r-wave detection method using adaptive refractory period of an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal. The method includes the steps of: (a) perform pre-treatment for the ECG signal； (b) extracting an R apex candidate from the ECG signal； (c) calculating a refractor period (RP) based on the kurtosis and the potential of the R apex candidate； (d) determining if there is potential higher than that of the R apex candidate in the RP； (e) detecting the kurtosis of the higher potential to a new R apex candidate if there is potential higher than that of the R apex candidate, and repeating steps under the step (C)； and (h) determining the R apex candidate to the R wave if there is no potential higher than that of the R apex candidate. As described above, the present invention provides an R-wave detection method employing variable RPs by reflecting the kurtosis and the potential of the candidate R-apex on the RP of the ECG signal representing cardiac depolarization and cardiac repolarization. In addition, the present invention provides the R-wave detection method in which a stable and high detection rate can be provided through the simple method, the operation speed can be more improved, and various applications for real-time processing can be employed.본 발명은 심전도 신호에서 적응적 불응기를 이용한 R 파 검출방법에 관한 것으로, (a) 심전도(ECG) 신호를 전처리하는 단계； (b) 상기 심전도 신호에서 R 정점 후보를 추출하는 단계； (c) 상기 R 정점 후보에 대해 첨도와 전위에 기반한 불응기(Refactory Period: RP)를 산출하는 단계； (d) 상기 불응기 내에 상기 R 정점 후보보다 높은 전위가 있는지 여부를 판단하는 단계； (e) R 정점 후보보다 높은 전위가 있는 경우, 상기 높은 전위의 정점을 새로운 R 정점 후보로 검출하고, 상기 (c) 단계 이하를 반복하는 단계； 및 (h) R 정점 후보보다 높은 전위가 없는 경우, 상기 R 정점 후보를 R 파로 결정하는 단계를 포함한다.이와 같은 본 발명은 심장의 탈분극과 재분극을 반영하는 심전도 신호에서의 불응기에 후보 R-정점의 첨도와 전위를 반영하여 가변하는 불응기를 적용한 R-파 검출방법을 제공한다. 또한, 간단한 방법으로 안정되고 높은 검출율을 제공하고, 연산속도를 더욱 개선할 수 있으며, 실시간 처리를 위한 다양한 응용에 적용이 가능한 R-파 검출방법을 제공한다.
