PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to adjust the length of a sheath at the time of replacement of the sheath and to realize the reproduction of a sufficient watertightness after the replacement of the sheath in an optical probe for OCT.
SOLUTION: A seal member 52 is mounted on the center of the outer periphery of a piping tool 51 in which an optical fiber 12 is inserted. The press-fitting part 55 of one end of the piping tool 51 is pressed into the base end of the sheath 11 and the insertion part 56 of the other end of the piping tool 51 is inserted in the almost cylindrical attaching hole 31 of a main body 20 up to a desired position. By inserting the leading end of the sheath 11 in the opening part 58 of a holder 53, the seal member 52 is held between the holder 53 and the main body 20.
