The present invention relates to a method for preventing the crystallisation of an active pharmaceutical ingredient in a polymer film, wherein the solvent-containing coating compound, which has been doctored to make the polymer film and which comprises a matrix-forming polymer or polymer mixture and at least one active pharmaceutical ingredient, is temporarily dried at temperatures that exceed the melting temperature of the active pharmaceutical ingredient contained in the coating compound by at least 10 ℃.
