PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an algae culture lighting device which has an inexpensive and simple mechanism, and small impact of heat given to algae to be cultured, is capable of reliably controlling the temperature of culture solution efficiently and accurately, simultaneously improving reproducibility, reliability, uniformity, and convenience of culture, and is also excellent in durability, safety and energy saving performance.SOLUTION: An algae culture lighting device comprises: a water tank 3 having a bottom in which a top surface is open and light irradiation means (LED lighting unit 50) which is provided along an outside of a side surface of the water tank 3 in a standing manner, and emits light toward a culture bottle B that cultures algae. In the device, temperature adjustment means (heater 60 for water tank) for adjusting the temperature of liquid stored in the water tank 3 is also provided.
