PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope which reduces a feeling of a foreign body and prevents damage to organs during an endoscopic examination, which has a light source attached to the tip of a probe, and which can obtain a clear image fitting a purpose.SOLUTION: An image sensor 110 is attached to an outer periphery of a probe, and a diameter of the probe 100 is reduced. A lens 140 for diffusing light is provided at the tip of a housing 130, and one or more light sources 120 for applying the light to the lens 140 are provided behind the lens within the housing 130.
