The enclosure has a metal strip (1) flanged at upper longitudinal side and connecting ends (2, 3). One connecting end is designed as a tongue that is engaged with another connecting end provided with a receiving slot. The receiving slot is arranged in a flanged portion of the former connecting end in a perpendicular direction of a longitudinal extension of the metal strip. The metal strip is provided with flanged rims (7, 8).
