The present invention relates to substituted aromatic compounds of Formula II,thepharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, the pharmaceutical compositioncontaining them, andtheir pharmaceutical uses. More particularly, Formula Il is(See Formula II)wherein n is 1； Q is C1-C2 alkyl； R1 is straight chain C5 alkyl, C6 alkyl, C5-C6 alkenyl, or C5-C6alkynyl； R2 is H, halogen, haloalkyl, ORb, SRb, or NRcRd；R3 is H, halogen,haloalkyl, straightchain C1-C4 alkyl, ORb, SRb, or NRcRd； R4 is H, halogen, haloalkyl, C1-C4alkyl, ORb, SRb, orNRcRd； R5 is H or ORb； Rb is H； and Rc and Rd are independently chosen from: Hor C1-C4alkyl. Particular aspects of the invention relate to the use of thosecompounds in the preventionand/or treatment of various diseases and conditions in subjects, including theprevention ortreatment of (i) blood disorders, (ii) renal disorders, a nephropathies, orrenal disordercomplications； (iii) inflammatory-related diseases； and/or (iv) oxidativestress related disorders.
