The present invention relates to an apparatus for washing beans which effectively selects and discharges various impurities mixed with beans after harvest and can effectively and hygienically wash beans by using a minimum amount of water. The apparatus for washing beans comprises: a washing bath (100) which is formed as a cylindrical body with an open upper portion, washes a large amount of beans, inserted with washing water therein, by using vortex of the washing water, and, at the same time, selects and discharges impurities mixed with the beans by using buoyancy and centrifugal force and an agitation unit (200) which has an agitation means, rotated in the washing bath (100) by a driving unit (201) installed on an upper portion of the washing bath (100), agitates the beans inserted in the washing bath (100) with the washing water, and generates a vortex in the washing water and centrifugal force. According to the present invention, the apparatus for washing beans can automatically wash a large amount of beans at once by using a minimum amount of water and thus has increased utilization and efficiency of a bean washing process. The apparatus for washing beans can perform the bean washing process and an impurity selecting process at the same time and thus has significantly increased productivity of products when various processed products are manufactured by using washed beans.
