PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain reliability of measurement of a bone mineral quantity when photographing an objective portion of a subject without juxtaposing an aluminum standard member.SOLUTION: A medical image processing apparatus according to an embodiment is accessible to storage means. The medical image processing apparatus includes acquisition means, reading means, and measurement means. The acquisition means acquires an objective image where a region including two or more aluminum pieces having thicknesses the same as two or more thicknesses respectively, and a bone part of a measurement object is radiographed. The reading means reads an aluminum standard image in the storage means on the basis of the pixel values of the two or more aluminum pieces in the objective image.
