The invention relates to a wound treatment system which can be particularly advantageously used, in particular, in wound treatment during the epithelisation phase. The wound treatment system comprises a carrier layer and at least two hydrogel strips, wherein the first hydrogel strip contains a first material and the second hydrogel strip contains a second material, and wherein the first and second material have different standard potentials. Said wound treatment system can be used in particular in moist wound treatment. The invention also relates to a corresponding material mixture formed by a first and second material, wherein the first material is contained in a first hydrogel strip and the second material is contained in a second hydrogel strip for the treatment of wounds.
