Respiratory treatment device (500) comprising: a housing (502) that encloses a plurality of chambers; a first opening (512) in the housing configured to transmit exhaled air into the housing, and inhaled air from the housing; a second opening (513) in the housing configured to allow exhaled air inside the first opening to exit the housing; a third opening (515) in the housing configured to allow air outside the housing to enter the housing after inhalation in the first opening; an exhalation flow path (510) defined between the first opening and the second opening, and an inhalation flow path (518) defined between the third opening and the first opening; a limiting element (430) placed in the exhalation flow path and the inhalation flow path, so that the limiting element can move between a closed position, in which an air flow along the flow path exhalation or the inhalation flow path is limited, and an open position, in which the exhaled air flow along the exhalation flow path or the inhalation flow path is less limited; and, a blade (432) in fluid communication with the exhalation flow path and the inhalation flow path, the blade being operatively connected with the limiting element and configured to alternately alternate between a first position and a second position in response to the air flow along the exhalation flow path or the inhalation flow path; a fourth opening (516) in the housing configured to allow air flow along the exhalation flow path to exit the housing before the position of the limiting element in the exhalation flow path; a fifth opening (517) in the housing configured to allow air outside the housing to enter the inhalation flow path after inhalation in the first opening after the position of the limiting element in the inhalation flow path; and, a switch (504) positioned with respect to the fourth opening and the fifth opening so that one or both of the fourth opening and the fifth opening can be closed by the switch; whereby the device can de
