An artificial storage candle (80) comprising an elongate hollow cylindrical container (12), having a first lower compartment (14) for storing the ashes of a deceased person or animal and/or other small important personal effects of the deceased, and a second upper compartment (16) housing an electronically operated artificial moving flame assembly (18) for generating light for an artificial moving flame (20).
