PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel absorbent article in which the area of contact between a top sheet and the skin of a wearer is small.SOLUTION: A sanitary napkin 1 includes: a top sheet 2, a back sheet 3, and an absorbent body 4 disposed between the top sheet 2 and the back sheet 3. In the napkin 1, the top sheet 2 is a liquid-permeable sheet having: an extensible area 21 in which an extensible bellows-like section 210 is formed in a liquid supply area 20 for receiving a supply of liquid and a flexible area 22 that encloses the extensible area 21.
