The method involves the use of the device with a housing, a rotor inside the housing, and with a plurality of protrusions extending from the rotor. The system comprises a number of devices. Each device has a housing and a rotor in the housing. One of the devices has adjacent protrusions of alternately varying heights, extending from the rotor. Another device has grooves formed in the rotor and on the end wall of the housing.
