The invention relates to the field of medical technology, in particular hygiene, and is intended for cleaning teeth, namely the electric toothbrush. The technical result consists in reducing hard pressure coefficient on the teeth leading to their damage, due to the working surface of a shaft coated with a durable soft material, into which are inserted bristles and automation shaft disconnection process with bristles, on reaching the limit pressure threshold to the teeth during brushing. The inventive result is achieved by an electric toothbrush which includes a head having a shaft with bristles arranged rotatably around its axis, and the handle comprising a control unit which is connected to the motor drive, which is designed to transmit shaft torque bristle head, characterized in that it comprises an additional control unit connected to a pressure sensor configured to fix the pressure exerted on the shaft with bristles, and the control unit configured to disable the rotation shaft with bristles when the limit threshold pressure the shaft with bristles, wherein the working surface of the shaft is covered with a durable soft material, into which are inserted bristles.
