The invention concerns a device (1) for damming the entrance of a cavity of a construction that is at least partially submerged, in order to produce a secure artificial habitat for fish of given sizes, and in particular fry, said device comprising a plate (10), a first array (3) of damming elements formed from rods (6) attached to the plate (10) and extending in a direction away from said plate (10), a second array (4) of damming elements formed from at least one strand (7, 8) linking rods (6) of the first array (3) together and attachment means (5) for attaching the plate (10) to a rockfill delimiting all or part of the cavity.
