PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer high in transparency and oxygen permeability, excellent in antifouling properties and hydrolysis resistance, and favorable for applying to eyes.SOLUTION: The copolymer includes an acrylic ester monomer (1) bonded to a Si group having 2-3 RSiO groups at a terminal and substituted by 0-1 alkyl group through a C7-10 methylene chain which may be substituted by a C1-6 monovalent hydrocarbon group R, and an acrylic ester monomer (2) having an alcohol residue having siloxane structure composed of a 3-11 repeating SiO structure at a terminal. Above R may be substituted by a C1-6 alkoxy group, a hydroxy group, a halogen atom, or a cyano group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
