The present invention relates to a method for operating a pet feeder that includes a frame (100) and a feeding container (200) rotatably installed on the frame (100), wherein a speed meter is installed on one side of a connection rod installed on the frame to transmit a signal of the speed meter to a control unit, and the control unit assesses a daily rotation amount by which a pet animal rotates a feeding container a day and compares the daily rotation amount to a set reference value, and when the daily rotation amount is insufficient, determines an exercise amount of the pet animal to be insufficient, thereby checking the health state. The present invention allows the pet animal to find eating feed entertaining by bringing the feed container into rotation in the frame and prevents the pet animal from eating too fast, so that the pet animal can be mentally and physically healthy. Further, the present invention can detect the health state of the pet animal by detecting the operation of the feed container using a sensor, and supply the feed appropriately to maintain the health of the pet animal.본발명은 애완동물 급이기 동작방법에 관한 것으로, 프레임(100)과, 상기 프레임(100)에 설치되어 회전되는 먹이통(200)으로 이루어지는 애완동물 급이기의 동작방법에 있어서, 상기 프레임에 설치되는 연결봉 일측에는 속도계를 설치하여, 상기 속도계의 신호를 제어부에 전송하고 제어부에서는 애완동물이 얼마나 매일 먹이통을 회전시키는 지를 검토하여 설정된 기준수치와 비교하여 모자랄때는 애완동물의 운동량이 적은 것으로 판단하여 건강상태를 체크하는 것으로,본발명은 먹이통이 프레임에서 회전됨으로써 애완동물이 먹이를 먹는데 재미를 가지게 되고, 급히 먹는 것을 방지하게 하여 애완동물이 심신상으로 건강하게 되며 또한 먹이통을 센서로 동작을 감지하여 애완동물의 건강상태를 파악하여 적절한 먹이공급을 하여 애완동물의 건강을 유지할 수 있는 현저한 효과가 있다.
