The present invention relates to a watch type terminal, comprising: a main body； a band part connected to the main body and formed to be worn on a wrist of a user； an electrode part arranged on a part of the main body and the band part to be in contact with the body of the user, and generating current； and a control part calculating an impedance value based on voltage sensed by the electrode part. The electrode part comprises a first electrode member to be in contact with the wrist and a second electrode member exposed to the outside when the watch type terminal is worn on the wrist of the user.본 발명에 따른 와치타입 단말기는 본체, 상기 본체에 연결되어 손목에 착용가능 하도록 형성되는 밴드부, 사용자의 신체에 접촉되도록 상기 본체 및 상기 밴드 중 일 영역에 배치되어 전류를 발생시키는 전극부 및 상기 전극부에 의하여 감지된 전압에 근거하여 임피던스 값을 산출하는 제어부를 포함하고, 상기 전극부는 상기 와치타입 단말기가 손목에 착용상태인 경우 손목에 접촉되는 제1 전극부재 및 외부로 노출되는 제2 전극부재를 포함 포함한다.
