PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope for excellently making special observation.
SOLUTION: The endoscope includes: a long insertion part a photography part which is placed at a distal end of the insertion part and acquires an image of an object to be examined a laser source for emitting light of a prescribed wavelength a first optical fiber which is placed inside the insertion part and leads the light emitted by the laser source to the distal end of the insertion part a fluorescent body which is placed on an optical path of the first optical fiber, excited by the light emitted by the laser source, and emits visible light a filter which is placed on the optical path of the first optical fiber between the fluorescent body and the distal end of the insertion part, and is different in transparent ratio according to the wavelength and a special observation unit provided with a light source for special observation for emitting light in which at least a part of the wavelength range differs from that of light emitted by the fluorescent body and a second optical fiber for guiding the light emitted by the special observation light source to the distal end of the insertion part.
