An implantable rate responsive pacemaker includes a sensor module configured to produce an activity signal correlated to a metabolic demand of a patient and a posture signal correlated to patient posture. The pacemaker further includes a pulse generator configured to generate and deliver pacing pulses to a patients heart via a pair of electrodes coupled to the pacemaker. A control module is coupled to the pulse generator and the sensor module and is configured to determine a sensor indicated pacing rate from the activity signal, compare the posture signal to verification criteria for confirming an exercising posture of the patient, and withhold an adjustment of a pacing rate to the sensor indicated pacing rate responsive to the verification criteria not being met.Linvention concerne un stimulateur cardiaque implantable sensible au rythme comprenant un module de capteur conçu pour produire un signal dactivité corrélé à une demande métabolique dun patient et un signal de posture corrélé à une posture de patient. Le stimulateur cardiaque comprend en outre un générateur dimpulsions conçu pour générer et administrer les impulsions de stimulation au cœur dun patient par lintermédiaire dune paire délectrodes couplée au stimulateur cardiaque. Un module de commande est couplé au générateur dimpulsions et au module de capteur et est conçu pour déterminer un rythme de stimulation indiqué par capteur à partir du signal dactivité, pour comparer le signal de posture à un critère de vérification afin de confirmer une posture dexercice du patient, et pour suspendre le réglage du rythme de stimulation au rythme de stimulation indiqué par capteur lorsque le critère de vérification nest pas satisfait.
