The present invention provides for a novel Steerable balloon catheter device for difficult navigation in tortuous intracranial arteries. The balloon catheter is coated with hydrophilic coating and has triple ports- one each for inflation and deflation of the either side balloons and other central port for navigation. Both ends of balloon has radio-opaque markers which can be precisely placed in the desired location. Here Single balloon inflation causes inflation of balloon in half circumferential or semilunar pattern causing deflection of the catheter tip to opposite side. The balloons can be made compliant or super compliant.
