An apparatus for exchanging heat in a patient has a first elongated heat exchange catheter (24) carrying circulating working fluid to and from a heat exchange system (30) and a second elongated heat exchange catheter (26) carrying circulating working fluid to and from the heat exchange system. The apparatus has a connector (28) supporting proximal portions of both catheters while distal portions of the catheters are disposed inside a patients vasculature to exchange heat with the patient.La présente invention concerne un appareil déchange de chaleur de patient. Cet appareil comprend, dune part un premier cathéter déchange de chaleur de forme allongée (24) transportant un fluide de travail circulant, à destination et en provenance dun système déchange de chaleur (30), et dautre part un second cathéter déchange de chaleur de forme allongée (26) transportant le fluide de travail circulant, à destination et en provenance du système déchange de chaleur. Lappareil comporte un connecteur (28) supportant les parties proximales des deux cathéters alors que les parties distales des cathéters sont disposées à lintérieur du système vasculaire du patient de façon à réaliser léchange de chaleur avec le patient.
