Between the lower layer and the upper layer, at least one tunnel is provided for accommodating at least one tube, which has exit openings for the fluid. The lower layer and the upper layer are attached to each other over a large area in at least one region outside the tunnels. In addition, an irrigation system is described, which has an irrigation mat of this kind and tubes.
