PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leg strength support device capable of automatically adjusting torque generated by a swing motion by automatically adjusting rigidity of a joint that makes a swing motion, and reducing power consumption or a load on a user further.SOLUTION: A leg strength support device includes a waist side installation part 2 installed on a waist side of a user, a first swing arm 13 disposed on the side of the thigh of the user where a recessed shape or a protruding shape which plays the role of a swinging shaft is formed on the upper part, a thigh installation part 19 attached to the first swing arm and applied to the thigh of the user, a driving shaft member 6 for supporting the recessed shape or the protruding shape which plays the role of the swinging shaft of the first swing arm, and supporting the first swing arm swingably with respect to the waist side installation part, rigidity varying means for varying the rigidity which is torque per unit angle displacement required for swinging the first swing arm, and control means for controlling the rigidity varying means.
