There is provided an orthotic configured for muscle imbalance correction wherein the orthotic comprises strapping configured for physically favouring the activation of an undercompensating muscle group comprising at least one of the gluteus maximus, medius, and minimus, vastus medialis and vastus medialis oblique by physically pulling substantially in-line with muscle fibres of the undercompensating muscle group to assist initial muscle shortening and physically deactivating an overcompensating muscle group comprising at least one of the tensor fascia latae and iliopsoas by physically pulling and therefore compressing across muscle fibres of the overcompensating muscle group to provide muscle resistance.
