PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle-like body which delivers a large amount of delivery matter to a skin in puncturing, and a method for manufacturing the needle-like body.SOLUTION: A needle-like body 104 includes a base plate 204 having a first surface and a second surface 202 located on the opposite side of the first surface and a needle-like part protruded on the first surface. The needle-like body 104 is formed by filling an intaglio plate 101 in which a recessed part 101A corresponding to the needle-like part is formed with a high polymer material 102 and by hardening the high polymer material 102. Then, molecular weight of the high polymer material forming the base plate 204 is made smaller than molecular weight of the high polymer material forming the needle-body part by irradiating the second surface 202 of the base plate 204 of the needle-like body 104 formed by the intaglio plate 101 with ionizing radiation 103.
