An electrode (1) for acquiring electroencephalogram signals of a user, comprises a base (2) and a plurality of legs (3) extending from the base (2) at first extremity (3a). The legs (3) comprise a second extremity (3b) covered with an electrically conductive material. The second extremity (3b) comprises a smaller cross-section than the first extremity (3a) of the legs (3) such that the legs (3) are able to penetrate through hair of the user. The legs (3) are able to elastically flex such that, when the electrode (1) is applied on a users head, the electrically conductive material of the second extremity (3b) is in contact with a scalp of the user.
