Methods of treating asthma by administration of 2-((8-chloro-3-(4-chlorobenzyl)-4-(difluoromethoxy)-2-ethylquinolin-5-yl)oxy)acetic acid to patients exhibiting a high baseline fractional exhaled of nitric oxide (FeNO) are disclosed. In some embodiments, such patients have be pre-selected prior to administration based on exhibiting a high FeNO, such as having FeNO equal to or greater than 25 ppb or 35 ppb.
