There is disclosed a laryngoscope comprising a blade having an adjustable curvature and means for adjusting the curvature which is operable during insertion of the blade into the airway of a patient such that the blade lifts the tongue and anterior structures to facilitate the insertion. There is also disclosed a laryngoscope fitting which defines a guide along which an endotracheal tube may be fed to intubate a patient following insertion of the laryngoscope into the patients airway, the fitting being releasable from the blade to permit withdrawal of the blade from the fitting and thus from the airway.La présente invention a pour objet un laryngoscope comprenant une lame ayant une courbure ajustable et dun moyen dajustement de la courbure qui est utilisable pendant lintroduction de la lame dans les voies respiratoires dun patient de telle sorte que la lame relève la langue et les structures antérieures pour faciliter lintroduction. La présente invention concerne aussi une monture de laryngoscope qui définit un guide le long duquel un tube endotrachéal peut être introduit pour intuber un patient à la suite de lintroduction du laryngoscope dans les voies respiratoires du patient, la monture étant amovible de la lame pour permettre le retrait de la lame de la monture et ainsi des voies respiratoires.
