PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus capable of obtaining useful diagnostic information in an imaging site such as a heart by imaging by use of an IR method in which TI is properly set.SOLUTION: This MRI apparatus includes a calculation means and an imaging unit. The calculation means calculates the inversion time for imaging by analyzing a plurality of magnetic resonance signals or a plurality of image data of a subject that correspond to a plurality of inversion times of different inversion recovery methods. The imaging means performs imaging by an inversion recovery method at the inversion time calculated for imaging.【課題】適切にTIを設定したIR法によるイメージングによって心臓等の撮像部位における有用な診断情報を得ることが可能な磁気共鳴イメージング装置を提供することである。【解決手段】磁気共鳴イメージング装置は、算出手段及びイメージング手段を備える。算出手段は、反転回復法の異なる複数の反転時間に対応する被検体の複数の画像データ又は複数の磁気共鳴信号を解析することによって、イメージング用の反転時間を算出する。イメージング手段は、前記イメージング用に算出された前記反転時間で前記反転回復法による前記イメージングを行う。【選択図】 図５
