PURPOSE: A vaccine composition containing Salmonella mutant strain in which Ion and cpxR genes are deleted for preventing fowl typhoid is provided to easily produce and store a live vaccine. CONSTITUTION: A vaccine composition for preventing fowl typhoid contains Salmonella mutant strain in which Ion and cpxR genes are deleted. The Salmonella is Salmonella typhimurium, S. typhi, S. paratyphi, S. sendai, Salmonella Gallinarum, or S. enteritidis. The vaccine composition is administered through oral, transdermal, subcutenous, or nasal cavity administration. The vaccine composition prevents fowl typhoid by administering to birds such as chicken, duck, turkey, waterfowl, and pigeon.
