PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a fishy odor of an astaxanthin-containing composition and to show that a composition containing astaxanthin and piperine has a back pain improving effect. SOLUTION: An astaxanthin-containing composition having an excellent astaxanthin-suppressing effect, which comprises astaxanthin and piperine in an amount of 0.005 times by mass or more with respect to astaxanthin. A composition containing astaxanthin, which further contains γ-oryzanol and has an excellent effect of suppressing deteriorated odor. In addition, taking astaxanthin and piperine derived from long pepper together has the effect of improving low back pain, especially when a high load is applied to the lower back, such as when bending forward.
