Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung (1) und ein Verfahren zum Trimmen der Oberseite (3) eines Oberkiefermodells (2), mit einer aus zumindest zwei Elementen (6) bestehenden Einrichtung (4) zum Positionieren des Oberkiefermodells (2) auf den Referenzpunkten der HIP (Hamulus-Papilla incisiva) -Ebene, und einer Einrichtung (5) zum Fixieren des Oberkiefermodells (2) in dieser HIP-Ebenen-Position.
