PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical microsurgery instrument which alleviates, as much as possible, a burden imposed upon the fingertips, especially upon the thumb, when holding the instrument so as not to drop the instrument and which allows a user to concentrate the sense of the fingertips, especially of the thumb, and the movement of the fingertips on opening and closing movement of a distal part.SOLUTION: A medical instrument for opening and closing distal parts is provided. The medical instrument has a pair of elastically deformable arms provided so as to face each other. The tips of the arms can be opened and closed relative to each other. The pair of arms are integrated together at a position behind the tips. Rear parts of the pair of arms are adapted to serve as grip sections to be grasped by fingertips. The pair of arms at the grip section is configured so that the grip sections can approach and separate from each other. A support member is provided on the front surface side of the grip section of one of the arms.
