PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual sense regeneration assisting apparatus capable of improving a biocompatibility of an implanted device itself and suppressing damage of the device by infiltration or the like.SOLUTION: This visual sense regeneration assisting device is provided with a stimulation section formed of a plurality of electrodes for applying electric stimulus to cells constituting the retina, and a control means connected to the electrodes and formed of a semiconductor integrated circuit controlling a stimulus current to be sent to the stimulation electrodes, and regenerates the visual sense of a patient by installing the stimulus section and the control means inside the patients body.
