There is provided a solenoid valve that does not require high precision working technique for its movable member and that is light-weighted and provides high operation stability. The solenoid valve includes a fixed iron core (12), a solenoid coil (13), a nozzle unit (3) having a passageway (3a), a valve body (6) for closing the passageway (3a), and a movable member movable, in accordance with energization state to the solenoid coil (13), between a first posture where the valve body (6) closes the passageway (3a) and a second posture where the passageway (3a) is opened. The movable member comprises a pivotal member (5) pivotably operated between the first posture and the second posture. At one end of the pivotal member (5), there is provided an attracted portion (5a) which is electro-magnetically attracted to the fixed iron core (12) thereby to realize the first posture. At the other end of the pivotal member (5), there is provided the valve body (6) for closing the passageway (3a).
