PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shock protein 70 production inducing agent having unprecedentedly high safety, and apply the same to medicament and cosmetics.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for culturing yeast that is adapted to a culture medium containing zinc compounds at an unprecedentedly high concentration. Also, by using an extract of yeast cells intracellularly accumulating zinc compounds at a high concentration, a composition having low cytotoxicity and sufficient heat shock protein 70 production inducing effect is obtained. The composition can be used as a composition effective for repairing and prevention of gastric ulcer and gastric mucosa. Moreover, by using the composition as a cosmetic composition, such effects as prevention of skin inflammation and retention of skin barrier function against ultraviolet light or stress from the environment are expected.
