The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating visual impairment, which contains ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA). More specifically, the present invention is capable of solubilizing ursodeoxycholic acid in water (or solubilized ursodeoxycholic acid) for oral administration, intraocular injection, or ophthalmic solution administration, macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retina.
