PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing apparatus having a magazine that can adjust the number of tools to be stored, and capable of determining the number of tools stored in the magazine.SOLUTION: The processing apparatus for cutting a workpiece by a tool includes: a spindle for detachably grasping the tool holding means for holding the workpiece rotatably around an X axis storage means provided in the holding means, having a first storage part for storing multiple tools, and capable of having a second storage part that can store multiple tools, capable of being attached to/detached from one side in an X axis direction of the first storage part memory means for storing information indicating the number of tools capable of being stored in the first storage part and the number of tools capable of being stored in the second storage part and determination means for detecting whether or not the second storage part is connected to the first storage part in the storage means, and determining the number of tools capable of being stored in the storage means, on the basis of the detection result and the information in the memory means.
