The present invention relates to a novel ruthenium complex compound, a method for manufacturing the same, and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cancer containing the same as an active component. The novel ruthenium complex according to the present invention exhibits an excellent killing effect on cancer cells and can excellently inhibit resistance occurrence mechanism of cancer stem cells, thereby being able to be usefully used as the pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cancer or a composition for suppressing resistance to an anticancer agent, and the pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cancer in which an existing anticancer agent resistance problem is improved by using with other chemotherapeutic agents.본 발명은 신규 루테늄 착화합물, 이의 제조방법 및 이를 유효성분으로 함유하는 암의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 신규 Ru 착화합물은 암 세포에 대하여 우수한 사멸 효과를 나타낼 뿐 아니라, 암줄기세포의 내성 발생 기작을 우수하게 저해할 수 있는 바, 이를 유효성분으로 함유하는 암의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물, 또는 항암제 내성 억제용 조성물, 및 이를 여타의 화학 요법제와 병용하여 기존의 항암제 내성 문제가 개선된 암의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
