The present invention provides a skin treating composition comprising caffeine in the form of a coffee seed extract (such as an oil) in combination with a skin moisturizing agent. The extract may comprise caffeine extracted from a green and/or unroasted coffee bean and an antioxidant. Further plant extract(s) having antioxidant, an anti-inflammatory, and antifungal, or an antibacterial properties may be included. To that end, one or more tocopherols having vitamin E activity may be included. Other plants extracts may be added including a butter extract of a plant of the genus Cacao or Butyrospermum, an extract of a seed or a fruit of a plant of the genus Cocos, Vitis, Prunus, an extract of a plant of the genus Aloe, or an extract of a plant of the genus Glycyrrhiza. The composition may further comprise squalene or squalene.
