PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for protecting trees capable of preventing generation of wilting of a pine or wilting of a Japanese oak, and damaging of pests to cherry or maple beforehand without bringing a high cost.SOLUTION: In the method for preventing wilting of a protected tree or damaging to a protected tree by reducing insects which mediates a causal organism to the protected tree or flying/adhering of insects which damages the protected tree, an atmosphere different from an atmosphere of a component in which the protected tree emits during the active period of the insect vectors or damaging insects is formed around a live standing tree of the protected tree and thereby, the possibility of flying/adhering caused by the insect vectors or damaging insects is reduced.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】 コスト高を招来することなく、マツ枯れやナラ枯れの発生、害虫によるサクラやモミジへの加害を未然に防止できるようにした樹木の保護方法を提供する。【解決手段】 保護樹木に対して病原体を媒介する昆虫又は保護樹木に加害する昆虫の飛来・付着を少なくすることによって、保護樹木の萎凋又は保護樹木への加害を予防するようにした方法であって、媒介昆虫又は加害昆虫の活動時期に保護樹木が発する成分の雰囲気と異なる雰囲気を保護樹木の生立木の周囲に形成することにより、媒介昆虫又は加害昆虫の誘因による飛来・付着の可能性を少なくするようにしたことを特徴とする。【選択図】 なし
