The present invention shall disclose a novel, simple and cost effective process of preparing skin regeneration membrane for treating burned wounds in a subject. The process comprises of adding glutathione solution to meropenam powder followed by agitation to form a mixture. Subsequently adding Platelet rich fibrin matrix with activator to the mixture just before coagulum / gel formation to form the skin regeneration membrane. The process further comprises of maintaining the pH of the skin regeneration membrane at 7 by adding micromolar quantities of hydrogen peroxide if pH was found to be alkaline.
